Trade between India and Bangladesh

India is Bangladesh’s biggest trade partner in South Asia and Bangladesh is India’s biggest trading partner in the subcontinent. The total bilateral trade between the two nations stood at $9.5 billion in 2019-20 and grew at an unprecedented rate of almost 44% from $10.78 billion in 2020-21 to $18.13 billion in 2021-22India’s exports to Bangladesh account for more than 85% of the total bilateral trade.

The two countries hope to make joint efforts to improve economic, financial, trade, transport and communication areas through peace and harmony.
